Free Money Games – Are you looking for the best money games for kids? I personally reviewed a bunch of fun money games for kids and financial literacy board games for beginners, and I dished out my favorites.
I set out to find the best cash games for kids by reaching out to dozens of vendors and asking them to send what they had.
Free Money Games
And you know what I found? There are a few gold nuggets out there that teach your kids about money in a fun way – playing money games.
Nft Games Free To Play And Earn Money Without Investing
Let’s take a look at the criteria I used when coming up with this list of scholarship games before we get into it.
However, first I have to play the game physically. I mean, how could I know if it was good or not? You can only gather so much information from a website.
Pssst: Do you have a money game for kids and want me to check it out for possible inclusion in this post? Get in touch with my contact form.
FYI: these are in no particular order, but I’ve organized them into categories according to the financial subjects they focus on.
Best Casino Games To Win Real Money Online Casino For Free In 2023
Included here are money games to teach children how to count, and how to solve money math problems.
Coins included in this game are alive! I want that – I mean
A bit like changing it when you throw it away. I’m sure you can use it in other places too, like a cash register, or a play store.
Although the player with the most money eventually wins, this game is not really about collecting money. The real money lesson here is how to count and convert coins.
Free Games That Pay Real Money
This game really tests their knowledge of being able to count / make change because in many spins, you have to take money from the bank without using a specific coin. For example, you may have earned $0.40, but you need to withdraw without spending a nickel.
From time to time, the player will come to Change it Up! Space, which means they have to exchange their lower value coins for higher value coins.
If you’re tired of UNO or Go Fish card games, check this one out – not only is it fun and fast as your kids are ready, but it also teaches coin recognition and money math!
There are two different decks – the “answer” deck and the “problem” deck. Each player is dealt 5 cards from the “Answer” deck, and a problem card is turned each turn. Players race to be the first to provide an answer to a problem. For example the problem card has a picture of 4 quarters. The first person to place their $1 answer on it takes the card. The winner is the first person to win five matching sentences by putting the correct answer on the problem card correctly (and quickly).

Of course, multiple players can have the correct answer at once, so the fastest person to identify + put down their correct answer card will win the game!
Okay, okay – technically this is a free group date created by Dating Divas. But you know what? I think it would work really well for a kids/family group day!
You’ll probably find it funny to see how much your child thinks common household items cost at the store. What will they guess about a bottle of Advil? How about a can of Campbell’s Chicken Soup?
Each player gets their own card, and must estimate how much they think each product is worth on the card. Then go to Walmart, Target, or shop online to find the real products and get the right price. See who was closest without passing!
Play Game & Earn Money
What a fun way to add some awareness to your child’s life about the cost of things they use every day. And you know what else? This can double as a great way to keep the kids engaged (re: busy) during your next grocery trip.
This collection of budgeting money games for kids includes learning important lessons about saving money, how to budget, and how to manage money.
What makes this game so interesting: not only is each player given a life persona that means the resources they have throughout the game, but also everyone starts with credits.
Players choose one “Life” card, and three “Credit” cards to start the game. In my round I found the following:
Where To Play Free Slot Games
Pssst: Well, it wasn’t as bad as when I had my exit interview with the financial aid department and found out I had about $36,000 in debt (all paid off, finally, in September 2010).
And the “Life” I got in this game was an engineer who makes $106,000/year, and is married with three kids. My income is $4,100, our mortgage is $1,700, our utilities are $600 (that seems really high!), and our groceries are $500 (that seems a little low for five kids).
To continue with Dave’s Perfect Money Making Plan (a great read, by the way – here’s my experience following parts of that plan in real life), each player gets $1,000 for their emergency fund, along with the starting salary amount. .
It is then up to each player to decide how to distribute their income throughout the game between each envelope (budget categories, such as food, utilities, and housing/rent). Along the way, players can also get to places where they have to pick a “Save”, “Give” or “Dave Says” card (these are full of Dave nuggets and “Stupid Taxes”) and have to keep track of what’s on them.
Counting Money Games
The philosophy of this game – how to best use your three resources, energy, persistence and money every day of your life – comes from this board game.
Players are tasked with finding the secrets of life, wealth and wisdom through the choices they make each day (you draw 5 cards at a time, and that represents the resources you have to use for a game cycle, which corresponds to one day).
Then use the cards in your hand to get a card from the commons, or get money. Points (which determine who wins outright) are earned by measuring things like persistence and money.
Each type of activity (dealer, owner and investor) uses a different energy source to operate and collect different fees. Players can improve by using education and experience cards, ultimately increasing their income and chance of winning.
Promoting Success: Counting Money Activities For 2nd Or 3rd Grade
I like that building wealth is not just about collecting a lot of money in this game. Rather, wealth also refers to the accumulation of things without direct monetary value (which has many other values), such as education, personality traits such as persistence, and virtues.
This game is designed to teach your little ones how to manage their money by choosing one of two games. Yes, this is actually two games in one – the Allowance Game, and the Managing My Allowance Game.
In the game Allowance, players work to save for their college education. Each player must also, while saving money, buy products – one of 4 categories. The winner is the player who purchased from any of the 4 categories, PLUS, has the most savings in their college savings account (ha! I like to reinforce the idea of saving, and especially saving for college! ).
In Managing My Allowance, the result and the basic premise are the same, but with one exception: teach your children about sales (versus buying products at regular prices). The winner of this game is the player with the most college savings AND the most shopping savings.

The winner is the player with the most money deposited into their college savings account
Each child can play their own bank in this game, or you can choose one banker to do the transactions. Speaking of banks… I love how this game makes your child earn interest on the money they keep in the bank!
The allowance is $3.00 (every time you pass the “Home” room), and there are plenty of opportunities for your child to earn more with each turn – doing things like opening a lemonade stand, washing the car, etc. – and their ways of spending their money (like at the mall).
The ways to earn and spend money are kid-friendly, which means there’s no real-world budgeting here. For example, get money for a birthday, get $1.00 for an improved report card, get $1.00 for losing a tooth, or pay a $0.60 library fine, or literally lose $1.50 of your money. However, this means that your little one will be able to really relate to the options on the board.
Money War Game
The goal is for them to work their way up the board and earn enough money to reach $20. That’s how you win!
